Theoretical and Experimental Investigations of Magnetic and Magnetocaloric Properties in Magnetic Refrigerant Compounds
Supervisor: Dr. M. Vedat AKDENİZ & Amdulla O. MEKHRABOV
Magnetic refrigeration is an environmental friendly technology that has the potential for high energy effiency. The task of searching and developing effective magnetic working bodies with high magnetocaloric characteristics is one of the central tasks in the creation of magnetic refrigeration devices. This study aims to synthesize and structurally characterize magnetic materials with high magnetocaloric properties, to study the origin of the giant magnetocaloric effect which arises from structural and magnetic phase transitions and to design a new magnetic material with giant magnetocaloric effect.
