Development and Optical-Mechanical Characterization of Transparent Fiber-Reinforced Optomechanical Composites |

The composites, in which a compromise between the resulting optical and mechanical properties is aimed, were termed as Optomechanical Composites. The purpose of this study is to
develop a transparent fiber-reinforced optomechanical composite,
where the optical and mechanical properties of the resulting composite
is optimized through the use of an appropriate fiber coating
revealing high optical and mechanical compatibility both with the
fiber and the matrix. |
